Friendly, helpful staff.Large, comfortable room.Great location

It has to be said that I wasn’t too impressed to check in after 4am, once I’d finished work only to be told that the triple room I had booked, which had been supposed to have had a double bed and a single bed wasn’t available and the only room was a triple with 3 single beds when I had already requested a large bed on my booking form. I was told that I could upgrade to a double room for £20.00 and when I asked if it would be possible for a late check out due to the time I was checking in, which was no fault of the hotels, but I was told this would be an additional £10..00 for an hour. It just seemed to me that the staff were instructed to try to get as much money as possible out of customers, which just isn’t right in my eyes, There has to be an amount of common sense applied, but perhaps I am wrong but this is simply my opinion. We stayed here on a Saturday night for my boyfriends birthday. Hotel was easy to find and has on site parking which is great. Closest tube station is Golders Green (Northern Line) which was about a 8 minute walk away so ideal for getting around London. Although it was great value for money, the room was absolutely disgusting. There was blood all over the walls, on the curtains and on the floor (pictures to prove this). The whole place absolutely stunk of weed, and the general cleanliness of the room was so poor it made me feel sick. Very glad we only stayed one night. The radiator in the room was constantly on and couldn’t be switched off so had to have the windows open all night to not boil, which led to loads of noise from the road leading to a bad nights sleep. Such a shame as the hotel itself is nice and the location is great, just let down by general maintenance and cleanliness.
